BDSiMprov with Mia Action & Mx Vex
Philadelphia alt-sex educators, Cannonball artists, and professional Dominatrixes Mia Action and Mx Vex give a crash course on incorporating eroticism into your artistic practice and performance. Class includes an introduction to kink and BDSM before diving into methods of generating erotic and sexually explicit artistic material in ways that are trauma informed and risk-aware. You’ll leave with frameworks for negotiating with collaborators when devising sensitive material, generative exercises to evoke eroticism from mundane scenarios and props, as well as tools that leverage the risk within erotic performance to subvert social scripts and create a more visceral experience for your audience. The workshop ends with live kink demonstrations, where you can observe, or even try your hand at, skills in shibari, sensory and impact play, and more in a guided environment.
Egyptian-izing Your MOVEMENTS! with Hazem Header
The workshop will consist of several approaches to choreography and creational methods for contemporary dance, physical theater, and “Egyptian-izing” your creative impulses.
