WE’RE HIRING
Festival Operations & Communications Coordinator
Flexible & Remote - $23/hour - Minimum 30 hours/month
We’re seeking a versatile Festival Operations & Communications Coordinator to amplify our voice and support our vibrant festival ecosystem. If you thrive in fast-paced creative environments, love blending strategy with execution, and want to shape the future of performing arts festivals, this is your chance to make an impact.
What You’ll Do
Streamline Communication Operations: Tracking timelines, prepping meeting agendas, and keeping our digital infrastructure organized
Power Events: Venue and vendor coordination, calendar wrangling, and timeline tracking
Manage Core Systems: Airtable, Melio, Instagram, Google Drive, Slack, MailChimp, and Canva
Manage Communications: Maintain marketing calendars for email and socials, press outreach, and collaboration with the producer cohort to keep our messaging on brand and on time
Collaborative Administration: working with team members in operations and development, along with the producer cohort, to provide administrative support, create workflows, and provide iterative feedback
This is for you if:
You enjoy handling operations and communications in arts nonprofits, organizing chaos so artists can focus on their work.
You’re comfortable with tools like Airtable, Google Workspace, and Canva (or similar ones and quick to learn), and enjoy making templates, calendars, and tracking details.
Festivals with Cannonball’s experimental vibe excite you—you’re passionate about Philly’s performing arts scene and community impact.
You thrive as a remote contractor: self-motivated and ready to hit the ground running.
This is not for you if:
You prefer fixed 9-5 hours—our work is flexible, fast-paced, and remote.
You love leading creative work like artwork or new content ideas; we need help with admin tasks and following our brand style.
Tracking budgets, vendors, and results feels boring to you—you’ll do it on a weekly basis.
You’re brand new to arts administration; we offer training on some systems, but we need proven experience to get started quickly.
If this sounds like a fit for you, read the full job description and application instructions here!
We look forward to hearing from you!
