Asian Arts Initiative: Storefront
1219 Vine St, Philadelphia, PA 19107
Venue + Access Info
-
There is a bus stop for routes 23 and 45 at the corner of 12th and Vine, right down the block. It is also about a 10 minute (0.5mi) walk north from Jefferson Station. Street parking varies between metered, time-restricted, or both. There are unmetered, unrestricted spots along Wood St just north of us, but those spots are rarely available or plentiful due to their desirability. Temporary construction barriers in front of the building on Vine St should not be moved to accommodate parking. There are pay-to-park surface lots located at SW corner of 12th & Vine, SE corner of 13th & Vine, and East side of 13th, between Callowhill & Hamilton.
-
Get into the venue: There is a ramp or one large step to get into the building. There is no railing.
Get your ticket: The box office will be right when you enter the venue on the first floor. For whatever space at AAI you have a ticket for, you will use that box office!
Find a seat: Seating is generally going to be general admission for every show, so no assigned seats. If you need any help you can touch base with Cannonball staff.
-
Masks are required at all Cannonball shows in the theater unless otherwise noted. Masks are optional in the lobby areas.
-
The seating is folding plastic chairs with no cushions or arm rests. Chairs for bigger bodies will be available.
There will be options on the ground level as well as up on risers.
-
Before: Expect a brief pre show announcement by a Cannonball Producer
After: Spaces will need to be cleared out ASAP to get ready for the next show happening. Socializing and galavanting can be done in the lobby areas!
-
Shows will be starting on time! Late seating policies are show dependent, and late seating is not guaranteed. Get to the venue early if possible!
-
How to leave a show: Exit through the back of the space. There will be no lights on ground or reflective tape- if you need help ask a Cannonball staff member. It will be relatively easy to see because the storefront doesn’t go completely dark.
How to re-enter a show: Check in with a Cannonball staff member. Please do not re-enter on your own.
-
Two non-gendered and individually isolating restrooms are available right outside of the storefront space. One is accessible for folks who use mobility devices, including wheelchairs.
-
Lobby info: very small, limited seating available.
Cafe: beer bucket and snack stand for donation on the same floor. There are no water fountains in the building- BYO water!
Earplugs: will be available by request at the box office.
