Acting as catalyst for the movement, HAIR essentially explores the physicality of ones head of hair as it's own form of movement within the body. How can our hair become the dance and our bodies act as a respondent?

About the Artist:
Hillary Pearson

Hillary Pearson is a Philadelphia based modern dancer, dance educator and choreographer. She graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University with a BFA Magnum Cum Laude in dance performance and choreography. During her time there, Hillary worked with and studied under Stefanie Batten Bland, Julie Bour, Brian Brooks, Laura Peterson and Keith Thompson. After graduating, she worked with Company Stefanie Batten Bland (CSBD, Israeli artists Yael Bartana and Noah Eshkol and Berlin based performance artist, Isabel Lewis.. Pearson has danced in fashion films for Nowness, Garage Magazine and for local fashion designer, Bela Shehu. Hillary has been teaching modern dance in Philadelphia, specifically floor work technique since 2017 and currently teaches Advanced Floor Work and Fundamentals of Floor Work at the KYLD Studio.
