The bigger the pupil the more vacant the eye.
Sometimes my shoes don’t fit on my own feet.
And sometimes they do.
Do you like the taste of onions?
Do you remember the way the mall smelled when you were sixteen?
What’s the number one industrial use of glitter?
How are your shoes fitting?
Do they make you cry?
Where would you go in a disaster?
Here?
Why does toothpaste sparkle?
Could it be?

Carry out your own trash.

This show is for you if…

you like the feeling you get when you stand up too fast, and for a second all you can see is bright white light and you think “my god, I’m about to pass out, how embarrassing,” but then suddenly everything becomes clear again and you’re happy to just be standing right where you are.

CAROL draws on the texts of classical myths, government documents, religious doctrines, popular films, corny b-movies, philosophy, internet artifacts, diaries, original plays, and more. Their collage aesthetic combines these into new constructions that mirror the modern experience of the overloaded information age. They utilize a combination of theatrical forms, performance art, dance, video, soundscape, and sculpture. CAROL’s work is effortful, usually leaves the stage a mess, and has historically included molded gelatin, frenzied dance numbers, and monologues about mutant dogs. Their work has been seen at The Brick (Brooklyn NY), Exponential Festival (Brooklyn NY) and Cannonball Festival (Philadelphia PA).
